Selling your pairs at The Back Door

OPTION 1: CONSIGNMENT
YOU BRING YOUR ITEMS IN AND WE WILL SELL IT FOR YOU.

HOW IT WORKS:

1. The Consignment Agreement:
   – Fill out our consignment agreement.
   – This is a once off requirement if you are a frequent consignor.
2. Drop off or ship through your items.
   Drop off at the physical store:
   – Come through to the store to drop off your items and fill out a consignment
   form
   – Your items will be authenticated
   – The price and condition of your items will be discussed with you
   – Your items will thereafter be listed on our online platforms as well as
   displayed in store
   Shipping through your items:
   – Shipping your pairs will require the agreement to be emailed to
   info@thebackdoor.co.za along with the item/s information:
   1. Brand type
   2. Silhouette type
   3. Colour
   4. Size
   5. Condition
   6. Listing price
   – This can be done via a courier company or Postnet at your own cost and risk.
   – Your items will then be authenticated and thereafter be listed on our online platforms as well as displayed in store.

3. The Consignment Fee:

SNEAKERS:
– 15% on new or pre-owned sneakers
ACCESSORIES AND CLOTHING
– 17% on new or pre-owned accessories and clothing

4. The payment process:
   – Upon the sale of your item a payment can be expected the following Wednesday or Thursday after the sale.
   – Your payout will be the listing price less the consignment fee.

*Please note we reserve the right to decline unrealistic listing prices as
well as items that we believe are out of our market reach. 

OPTION 2: BUYOUT
YOU BRING YOUR ITEMS IN AND WE BUY THEM ON THE SPOT.

HOW IT WORKS:

1. Bring through your item/s to the store
   – We will evaluate them, authenticate them and thereafter discuss a price with you.
   – Upon a conclusion, we will buy you out via EFT.

2. Alternatively, you can DM us on Instagram @the.back_door or email info@thebackdoor.co.za
   – This includes those that wish to sell from areas outside of Johannesburg that can not come through to the physical store.
   – Please include all of the item/s information such as:
   Brand type
   2. Silhouette type
   3. Colour
   4. Size
   5. Condition
   6. Pictures
   7. Price you are willing to sell for
   – We will get back to you with an offer and upon conclusion we can discuss drop off and/or shipping as well as payment.
